The Russellville Police Department made an arrest last week in an attack that occurred on July 21, 2012.
In the evening that day, the RPD was called out to a investigate a burglary complaint at Southern Villa Apartments on Highland Lick Road.
Upon arrival, the victim said that Floyd Wesley White, 20 of Russellville, forced his way into her apartment and then sexually assaulted her.
White was initially arrested by officer Jarrod Lyons and charged with alcohol intoxication in a public place and resisting arrest.
After further investigation, detective Mary Moore charged White with first degree attempted rape, first degree sexual abuse and second degree burglary.
White remains lodged in the Logan County Detention Center on a $50,000 cash bond.
