The Russellville Panthers took a rough loss to the Glasgow Scotties on Friday night in the Fourth Region All A Classic that was held at Clinton County. The Panthers fell 47-57 to keep them from advancing on in the All A Classic.
The Panthers kept a close game in the first quarter of their game against the Scotties, ending the first quarter only down 14-15. The Scotties had a big second quarter and were able to shut down the Panthers, which brought the Panthers down 19-30 going into the second half.
In the third quarter, the Panthers were able to make some progress and shortened the gap by only five points with a score of 32-37 going into the final quarter. The Scotties were able to pull away fast, leaving the Panthers behind to end the game 47-57.
Ta’Corian Darden led the Panthers with 13 points. Jordan Kennedy ended the game close behind with 12 points and Josh Hampton with 10 points.
Both Panther teams will play in a home double-header against South Warren on Friday starting at 6:00.
