Ruby Belle Thomas, 94, of Russellville, died Thursday, July 12, 2012, at Logan Memorial Hospital in Russellville.

Mrs. Thomas was born in Warren County Aug. 31, 1917, a daughter of the late William and Clara McLemore Cox. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Thomas was preceded in death by her husband, Claude Thomas and her sons, Donnie Thomas and Claude Richard Thomas.

She was a retired machine operator from Red Kap Industries and was a member of Concord Baptist Church, where she served for many years as the pianist.

Funeral services were held Sunday July 15 at 2 p.m. at Young Funeral Home Russellville Chapel with Brother Tony McAllister officiating. Burial followed in the Oak Grove Cemetery. Visitation began Saturday, July 14 from 5-8 p.m. and after Sunday, July 15 after 8 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home.

Pallbearers were Kenneth Page, Matthew Allen, James Earl Shanks, Kelly Allen, Bucky Thomas, Gary Thomas and Danny Thomas. Honorary Pallbearers were Boyd Carter and the men of Concord Baptist Church.

She is survived by her daughters, Helen Grisham and husband Gordon and Peggy Keeling, both of Russellville; nine grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions can be made to the Oak Grove Cemetery or the Concord Baptist Church.
