Mark “Poochie” Hurt, 54, of Russellville, formerly of Elkton, died Thursday, Jan. 31, 2013, at Logan Memorial Hospital in Russellville.
He was born in Christian County on July 16, 1958, a son of Johnnie Sue Shumate Duncan of Russellville and the late Arlo Hurt. In addition to his father, Mr. Hurt was preceded in death by his brother, Kim Hurt in 1994.
Mr. Hurt was a member of the Sons of the American Legion Post # 29 in Russellville.
Funeral services were held Sunday, Feb. 3 at 2 p.m. at Latham Funeral Home in Elkton with the Reverend Tommy Wilhite officiating. Burial followed in the Todd County Meadow Haven. Visitation began at the funeral home Saturday, Feb. 2 from 5-8 p.m.
In addition to his mother, Mr. Hurt is survived by his brother, Todd Hurt of Hopkinsville.
