Marie Elrod, 71, of Russellville, died Friday October 5, 2012, in the Skyline Medical Center in Nashville.

She was born in Logan County on January 20, 1941, to the late Roy Green and Inez Allen Green.

She was a member of Post Oak Baptist Church and she also was an in home caregiver. She is preceded in death by her husband Herschel Elrod and son Glenn Elrod.

Funeral Services for Marie were conducted at 2 p.m. Monday October 8, 2012, at the Young Funeral Home Russellville Chapel with Bro. Bobby Forshee officiating with burial in the Maple Grove Cemetery. Visitation was held Monday October 8, 2012 from 10 a.m. until the funeral hour.

Pallbearers were Danny Armstrong, Ricky Holder, Ricky D. Holder, Ed Holder, Johnnie Likens, Ricky White and Donovan Armstrong.

She is survived by her sister, Helen Armstrong of Russellville; two grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
