Margaret Marie Allen, 84, of East 3rd Street in Russellville, died Monday, September 24, 2012 at Creekwood Place Nursing and Rehab Center in Russellville.

She was a Logan County native, born August 9, 1928 to the late Oscar Etheridge Sr. and Elizabeth Frances Etheridge. She was a member of Spring Valley Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Emerson Allen.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 2 p.m., Thursday, September 27, 2012, at Summers, Kirby and Sanders Funeral Home, with Bro. Steve Smith officiating, with burial to follow in the Russellville Memorial Gardens. Visitation at the funeral home will be held Wednesday, September 26, 2012 from 5-8 p.m. and Thursday after 8 a.m. until the funeral hour.

Pallbearers will be Scott Archer, Jackie Allen, Steve Abney, Kevin Archer, Allen Price, Dakota Norris and Lloyd Abney Jr.

She is survived by sons, Glenn Allen (Joy) of Springfield, Tenn., Winn Allen (Gail) of Russellville and Van Allen (Glenda) of Russellville; daughters, Phyllis Cottrell of Oden, Ind., Connie Garrett (Wendell) of Lewisburg and Rita Archer (George) of Oden, Ind.; brothers, Dale Etheridge of Russellville and Oscar “Buck” Etheridge of Auburn; 16 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren and six great great grandchildren.

Expressions of sympathy may be made in the form of donations to the American Diabetes Association or the donor’s favorite charity.
