Arthur Franklin Vick, 76, of Irl Scott Road in Auburn, died Wednesday, January 2, 2013 at the Medical Center in Bowling Green.

He was born in New York City on February 19, 1936, to the late Karl W. Vick and Katherine Wheatley Vick.

He was a Baptist by faith, a U.S. Army veteran and a mechanic for L&N Railroad.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 5, 2013 at Summers, Kirby and Sanders Funeral Home with Bro. Steve Ayers officiating with burial to follow in the Auburn Cemetery. Visitation at the funeral home will be held from 5-8 p.m. on Friday, January 4, 2013 and Saturday after 8 a.m. until the funeral hour.

Pallbearers will be Jim Pounds, Phillip Edwards, Roger Hollins, Jordan Gibbs, Conner Edwards and Brian Franklin. Honorary pallbearer is Chancellor McDaniel.

He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Vick, son, Phillip Edwards (Robin) of Auburn; daughter, DeKarla Vick of Bowling Green; grandchildren, Charlsie Vick, Chancellor McDaniel, Amanda Lingerfelt, Conner Edwards and Tanner Edwards and great grandchild, Linvia Lingerfelt.

Expressions of sympathy may be made in the form of donations to the Wounded Warriors. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
