Betty Halcomb Rouse, 81, of Adairville, died Friday November 16, 2012, at Logan Memorial Hospital.

Mrs. Rouse was born February 21, 1931 in Logan County to the late S.F. and Ruth Orr Halcomb. She was a homemaker and former funeral assistant at Dean Funeral Chapel in Adairville. Mrs. Rouse was a member of Schochoh Church of Christ, she was a talented seamstress, and enjoyed cooking.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Robert “Bobby” Rouse, Jr., and by her brothers: Will Frank and Dick Halcomb.

Funeral services were conducted Wednesday November 21 at 10 a.m. at the Schochoh Church of Christ with Bro. Steve McCarley and Bro. Dale Smith officiating. Interment followed in Whippoorwill Cemetery with Trey Rouse, Zach Rouse, Bill Henderson, Bart Angel, Bob Church, and Don Halcomb serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the Dean Funeral Chapel in Adairville and on Wednesday from 9 a.m. until service time at the Schochoh Church of Christ.

Mrs. Rouse is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Martie and Don Davis of Adairville; sons and daughters-in-law: Brian and Lori Rouse of Adairville; David and Stephanie Rouse of Scottsville; sisters, Ann Levinson of Madison, and Nancy Church of Bowling Green; grandchildren, Karen Soder, Marla Davis, Madessa Rouse, Trey Rouse, and Zach Rouse and great grandchildren, Kailyn Rouse, Katherine and Claire Soder.
