An accident on Monday, June 25 at the intersection of the Emerson By Pass and Hopkinsville Road resulted in the death of Rickie Parker Sr., 59, of Russellville.
According to a police news release, Mr. Parker’s vehicle, a Buick LeSable, struck the left side of Dr. Harkleroad’s office located on the corner of the intersection. The vehicle came to a final rest after striking a tree.
When authorities arrived, Mr. Parker was unresponsive and was transported to Logan Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
A further investigation showed that Mr. Parker’s death was not caused by the accident, but was due to a medical emergency.
