The Russellville Police Department responded to a disturbance in progress at 108 Guion Court on Sunday, March 3, at approximately 5 p.m.

According to witnesses, Timothy West, 25 of Russellville, and his neighbor, Tony Stewart, 35 of Russellville, were engaged in a dispute.

The verbal disagreement escalated when West went into Stewart’s residence and allegedly struck Stewart in the head with a blunt object.

West suffered a moderate laceration and Stewart was transported to Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville for a possible head injury.

West was treated at Logan Memorial Hospital for his injury and arrested. He remains lodged in the Logan County Detention Center for first degree assault.
