Danny Wayne Powell, 65, of Bowling Green, died Wednesday, December 26, 2012, in the Commonwealth Regional Specialty Hospital in Bowling Green.

He was born in Logan County on May 22, 1947 to the late John Finley and Effie Myrtle Hester Powell. He is also preceded in death by two brothers, J. R. Powell and Ray Powell and sister, Ruth Blackwell.

He was a Baptist by faith.

Funeral Services for Danny Wayne Powell will be conducted Friday December 28, 2012, at 2 p.m. in the Young Funeral Home Auburn Chapel with Bro. Stephen Downey officiating and burial to follow in the Felts Cemetery. Visitation will begin Friday morning in the Young Funeral Home Auburn Chapel from 11 a.m. until the funeral hour.

He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Delores Jean Ogles Powell; sons, Billy Joe Belcher of Lexington and Daniel Joe Belcher of Portland, Tenn.; daughter, Betty Hamblin of Charlotte, Tenn.; brother, Bill Powell of Russellville; sisters, Mary Ann Johnson of Bowling Green and Dorothy Miller of Russellville; nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren and his beloved pet Saddie Mae.
