On Thursday, the entire student body of Lewisburg School, about 550 students in all, headed outside to take part in making a music video to Katy Perry’s “Firework” as a special year-end celebration.

“ Before testing, our teachers and staff performed a flash mob dance of the song 'Firework' and encouraged our students to do their best before testing and be a 'Lewisburg Firework', letting their light shine while doing their best,” said Lewisburg assistant principal Jennifer Jenkins. “We have worked this entire school year on becoming 'Good to Great' and this music video is a culminating activity is showing the community that they have worked so hard to be successful.”

Colorful shirts were purchased for each of the students and staff members to wear during the making of the video.
