Governor Ernie Fletcher and the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet are taking action to make an emergency upgrade to a Todd County highway. Repairs to Rattlesnake Road totaling $6,300 have been authorized.

"When emergency situations require repairs, it is our goal to make those repairs as quickly as possible," said Bill Nighbert, Transportation Cabinet secretary. "This project should make travel safer for those who use this road each day to get to work or school."

The project involves bridge repair work over Pond River on Rattlesnake Road, located 7.5 miles west of KY 171.

The county will be responsible for the work and the cost will be paid from County Road Aid emergency funds.
