Adairville police chief Steve Hadden wants to get out the word that drugs are a big problem – even in a small town like Adairville.
The following suspects have been charged and arrested in and around the south Logan County city.
“This list is not the only arrests made, but this is to show the high percentage of drug activity,” Hadden said.
Some of those arrested and charged in recent weeks include:
Michael Brewer – Possession of controlled substance first degree (Methamphetamine); possession of drug paraphernalia
Ashley Vick – Possession of controlled substance first degree (Methamphetamine)
David Evitts – Possession of marijuana; possession of drug paraphernalia
Claude G. Barbee III– Possession of controlled substance first degree (cocaine); possession of drug paraphernalia
Le'var Mason – Trafficking in marijuana
Cierrs Stovall – Possession of marijuana
David L. Aldririch – Possession of marijuana; possession of drug paraphernalia
Brandyn Wright – Possession of marijuana
Cameron Mason – Possession of marijuana; possession of drug paraphernalia
Karlisha Petties – Trafficking in marijuana; possession of drug paraphernalia; trafficking in controlled substance first degree MDMA (ecstasy); trafficking controlled substance within 1,000 yards of a school.
Jerry W. Davis – Possession of a Controlled substance first degree; possession of marijuana; possession of drug paraphernalia; reckless homicide
Joseph A. Anderson – Theft by unlawful taking anhydrous, with intent to manufacture methamphetamine; possession of marijuana; possession of police scanner; possession of concealed deadly weapon
There have also been two juveniles charged with possession of marijuana.
The charges which are listed may not be the final charge given in court. Not named are those which have been charged and/or arrested for vehicle violations, misdemeanor charges, and felony charges, which includes burglary, DUI, suspended operator’s licenses, assault, and theft in and around Adairville.
“The ongoing battle to keep our community safe and the fight against drugs is a combination of police work and support of the community,” Hadden said. “All the cases are not final where some have already pled guilty and/or not guilty. The charges placed are not final until the party charged have been before a court official. As with any criminal charge, all suspects are innocent until found guilty in a court of law.”
