Geraldine “Jerry” Jane Hess Megee, 90, died Oct. 6, 2012, at her home at Sunrise Assisted Living in Ann Arbor, Mich.

She was born June 9, 1922, the daughter of August Paul Hess and Ethel Stoyle Lather in Newark, Ohio.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband John Franklin Megee, sister Elizabeth Hennessee and brother August “Gus” Paul Hess.

Services will be at 3 p.m., Saturday Oct. 20, 2012, at Moster Mortuary in Rushville, Ind., with Rev. Cheryl Duke officiating. Burial will follow at East Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Thomas Megee, Robert Martins, Joseph Megee, Theodore Martens, Nicholas Martens and Jared Megee.

Jerry is survived by her brother, Donald Hess and sister Joyce Phillips; her children John F. Megee (Betsy) of Rushville, Sarah M. Martens (Robert) of Ann Arbor, and Thomas H. Megee of Calgary, Alberta, Canada; grandchildren Joesph (Ann) Megee, Jennifer Megee, Theodore Martens (Sarah G.), Nicholas Martens (Casey), Sarah A. Megee and Jared Megee; great-grandchildren Jenson Megee, Lauren Megee and Gavin Megee and many nieces, nephews and their children.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Interlochen Center for the Arts in Interlochen, Mich.
