Impact International Ministries Sports Division decided to expand it’s sports division with baseball teams in 2012 and start with the Logan County Impact 8U all-star team. The first outing proved to be successful, winning the Butler County AllStar Tournament in dominate fashion. The Impact 8-U team were hot with the bats winning the semifinal game 15-2 and the championship 17-11. Braxton Baptiste was the MVP of the tournament having two clutch home runs on the final day of the tournament. Milo Brooks, Austin Elamon and Jackson Hampton had strong defensive baseball games that helped the team in certain situations.
“With Impact Sports, it’s more then just about the game said Baptiste.” “It’s about mentoring, integrity and excellence! With only a few days to prepare for the first tournament, the Impact 8U staff did an exceptional job preparing the boys to play in such a short time and we are most appreciative for their commitment to the team.”
The Logan County Impact AllStar team will be playing again this week in Beechmont.
