A local teenager is in custody after being arrested Nov. 20 for a drive-by shooting that took place earlier that day.

According to Logan County Sheriff's reports, the department responded to a drive-by shooting on Concord Road. Upon arrival, the resident, Lias Beard, 22, told officers that a black male by the name of 'Chris' shot at him from a moving vehicle.

Sheriff's department investigations led to the arrest of Christopher Ross Gatewood, 18, East Sixth Street, Russellville, who officers contend was the shooter in the incident.

Gatewood was arrested and lodged in the Logan County Detention Center where he is being held with no bond. He is charged with one count criminal attempt to commit murder, and three counts of first-degree wanton endangerment.

The incident was investigated by Capt. Wallace Whittaker. He was assisted by Det. Kevin Bibb and officers from the Russellville Police Department.
