Bright and early Tuesday morning, students at Stevenson Elementary piled into their new classrooms to begin the school year. Stevenson Elementary’s mission this year is to build a foundation for a lifetime of learning. The staff focuses on preparing the children for adulthood and that academics and behavior go hand in hand.

“Every morning we do an inspirational pledge to reaffirm students that they are reaching for success and they will succeed,” said Principal Tammy Corum.

Corum says the spirit of the building is great and the teachers have harvested new ideas and they are excited for the new year.
