Babe Ruth league hits the final weeks before the All-Star finale

The Logan County Babe Ruth League hit the home stretch of their season. With only a week left before the all-star selection there here are some highlights from the past two weeks of games.

Price Funeral Home/H&H Sheet Metal beat Logan Telephone/Bouldin’s Roofing 13-3. Price/H&H’s Matt Guinn, Ryan Hudson, and Josh Stratton all collected doubles. Guinn, Hudson, Stratton, Dalton Nash, and Nonathan Partlow all collected two RBI’s each. Guinn pitched five innings, striking out eight and only allowing three walks. Partlow came in and pitched the last inning and striking one out. Logan Tele/Bouldin’s Brandon Jackson collected a triple. Josh McKinney collected two RBI’s. Bouldin pitching gave up 13 runs but struck out nine hitters and walked seven.

Pratt’s Auto/Printer’s Plus took down Logan County Animal Clinic/Subway 18-3. Pratt’s/Printer’s Plus’ Desmon Quarles had two doubles and a single, Michael Riley, Will Bingham, and Dalton Clark had two singles each. Quarles, Riley, and Clark had three RBI’s and Noah Bicksler had two RBI’s. Jordan Hendrix pitched four innings, giving up three runs, on four hits while striking out nine. Hunter Anderson had a double, while Zack Decker, and Luke Woodall had singles each. Decker, Zack Brinkley, and Anderson all collected RBI’s each. Hunter Crafton went four innings, gave up 18 runs on 14 hits while walking four.

Pratt’s Auto/Printer’s Plus defeated Price’s Funeral Home/H&H Sheet Metal 8 to 1. Pratts/Printers Plus’ Dalton Clark had two singles, while Jordan Hendrix and Noah Bicksler had two singles. Conner McColpin and Clark had two RBI’s, Desmon Quarles, Hendrix, Will Bingham and Hunter Crafton collected a single RBI each. Jacob Procter pitched six innings, giving up one run on one hit while striking 13 out. Price/H&H ‘s Garrett Strickler had s ingle and scored the only run. Jonathan Partlow pitched five innings, giving up eight runs on four hits while walking three.

Logan Tele/Bouldin Roofing beat Logan County Animal Clinic/Subway in a close 11-10 game. Logan Tele/Bouldin’s Brandon Jackson had two triples, Conner McColpin had a double and a single while Kenton Howard had two singles. Ben Wright collected two RBI’s, while Brandon Jackson had three RBI’s. Kenton Howard pitched a complete game giving up 10 runs on seven hits while striking eight out. Logan Tele/Bouldin’s Hunter Crafton, Dalton Clark, and Jacob Procter all picked up triples. Clark had three RBI’s while Zack Brinkley, Hunter Anderson, Zack Decker Hunter Crafton all had two RBI’s each. Scoring the winning run was Brandon Jackson on a force play off of Josh McKinney ground ball to second.

Logan County Animal Clinic/Subway beat Price’s Funeral Home/H&H 8-1. Logan County Animal Clinic/Subway’s Luke Woodall and Hunter Crafton had triples each. Hunter Crafton and Luke Woodall collected three RBI’s each. Crafton pitched six innings giving up one run on two hits while striking 12 out. Price Funeral Home/H&H’s Jerrad England collected a triple and Matt Guinn scored the only run. Guinn pitched five innings giving up eight runs on seven hits while giving up two walks.

Pratt’s Auto/Printer’s Plus defeated Logan Tele/Bouldin’s Roofing 16-8. Pratt’s Printers’ Hunter Crafton collected a triple and Hunter Anderson collected a double. Dayton Clark had five RBI’s, Noah Bicksler, Hunter Anderson, and Dillon Brown had three RBI’s in the blow out win. Jordan Hendrix pitched three innings only giving up one run on four strike outs. Logan Tele/Bouldin’s Roofing’s Brandon Jackson had a double, Josh McKinney had two singles. Ben Wright and Ashton Ross had two RBI’s in the loss. Brandon Jackson only went one inning giving up five runs, Kenton Howard collected three innings giving up 11 runs while walking nine.

Logan Tele/Bouldin’s Roofing beat Price’s Funeral Home/H&H 12-2. Logan Tele/Bouldin’s Roofing’ Josh McKinny and Brandon Jackson had two singles while Jacob Procter had a triple. Procter had three RBI’s, Brandon Jackson had four RBI’s, Josh McKinney, Evan Humphries, and Jack Wright had two RBI’s each. Ben Wright went six innings, giving up two runs while striking five out. Price’s Funeral Home/H&H’s Dillon Brown had a triple, Jerrod England collected a double. Jerrod England picked up one RBI. Ashton Ross pitched six innings giving up 12 runs on six hits and walked 11.

So proud of all the boys from Logan County. We most definitely got some very talented young men. Pray they continue to grow and flourish throughout life.
