You can elect to continue participating in DCP or choose the new ACRE program. It is a risk management tool that has provisions for payments when actual state revenue and actual farm revenue falls below established state revenue and farm revenue.
Producers that wish to participate in ACRE receive a 20 percent reduction in their direct payments and for producers that utilize the MAL (marketing assistance loan) program receive a 30 percent reduction in loan rates.
Cory Walters from the University of Kentucky Ag Econ Dept. will be the guest speaker. This meeting will be held at the Jim Roberts Community Park/Ag building in Franklin.
