Seventy-nine people earned a GED this year. The following students were present for the graduation. Logan County Adult Education hosted the 2011-2012 GED Graduation Ceremony on Sunday, July 15, 2012, at Logan County High School Dr. Janet Hurt, Logan County Schools-Associate Superintendent, was the guest speaker.

Rosalind Groff was named Valedictorian and also received awards for Highest GED Scores in Language Arts Writing, Math and Social Studies. Samantha Olds was named Salutatorian and received awards for Highest GED Scores in Language Arts Reading and Science. John Spivey was chosen as Student of the Year.

Keith Cox, Logan County Adult Education Council President, presented the following community service awards: Community Support Award-Debbie Hills/Ron Barb representing United Way of Southern Kentucky, Adult Education Advocate Award-Renea Covington, Volunteer of the Year-Laurie Holloway and the Patriot Award-the late Curtis Watkins. His wife Carol Watkins accepted the award on his behalf.
