Ricardo Federico of Bowling Green will read from his essay "Whatever It Takes," published in the recently released anthology The Good Men Project: Real Stories from the Front Lines of Modern Manhood. Federico's piece recalls how becoming a father and husband helped him get to know his own father better. He'll discuss the essay and the project as a whole, and the community will have the opportunity to ask questions and share their own stories.
The Good Men Project is a groundbreaking effort to create and sustain a nationwide discussion about modern manhood. The book is a collection of 31 essays written by men about the challenges, triumphs, failures, and defining moments they encounter in their efforts to be good fathers, sons, husbands or workers. All proceeds from the book and accompanying documentary DVD benefit The Good Men Foundation, dedicated to providing educational, financial, social and legal support to men and boys at risk.
