It is cold getting up lately. It’s been down to 26 degrees the weatherman has said. It’s been good to stay in.
Next Sunday we will be listening to a prospective pastor at Elk Lick Baptist Church. The speaker of the day will be Bro. Dale Hanson of Franklin. I heard his wife will also be there with him. You may want to be here to hear him. This will be on Dec. 4 with a meal to follow. This is one of the most important days in the life of our church, so please come and hear Bro. Hanson.
Our sympathy to Richard Steward and his family in the death of his mom Mrs. Ruby Steward.
Thursday was Thanksgiving day. I got to eat with Stanley, Elaine, Tara, Elaine’s mom Mrs. Louise Carver of Rosewood, and Elaine’s son John and Jessica Sweeney and girls, Kayla, Michaela, Janessa and Scarlett of Ft. Leonardwood, Missouri. They left for home on Friday.
According to the report I heard, Lewisburg fed at least 600 meals from the Lewisburg school this year. My, my that sounds like a very good crowd.
Martine Brown, Pat and Rozena Stanley and Jay celebrated “turkey” day differently this year, as they chose to eat at Ryans in Bowling Green, which they enjoyed very much.
Jerry Hart visited him mom Virginia Hart awhile Thursday. She enjoyed his visit.
Don’t forget our day with Mr. Dick Dickerson on Dec. 7th which is on a Wednesday. It will, as usual, be a potluck. I’d say be there by 11:30 a.m., then the fun will begin. We hope all can be there.
Oh winter begins December 21st, which is also on a Wednesday. So be ready, I hear it’s gonna be a rough one. We shall wait and see. As usual, I dread a bad cold one. Roads can be so treacherous, so be very careful.
Remember the 27th of December is Chris Cooper’s birthday. She will be 50 years old. If ya see her give her a big yell.
Until next time, give everyone a big smile and yell Merry Christmas and God bless. See ya.
