Hello once more. We had some more rain and it was windy. But we have had some pretty days too.
On Monday Curtis Coursey brought me cuckes, corn, squash and some home-grown tomatoes. They were delicious. On Wednesday cousin Lois Earl Brown brought me some of his home-grown peaches and they were delicious as well. Many thanks to both of you guys.
I’ve frozen corn and squash and made some pickles as well as some freezer pickles. I’ve been busy. I’m glad I’m able to get a few things little things done.
One day when I was especially busy, in comes Danny Coursey with a milk shake. Boy did I appreciate that. It was just what and when I needed it.
Our homecoming is the 30th with former pastor Bro. Glynn Copeland being the speaker of the day. There is a group singing I had never heard of, so don’t know what kind of singing we will have. Hope you can come for the special day.
Mitchell and Heather Johnson and Jenny are in the mountains and attended church last Sunday morning with former pastor Bro. Larry Burcham and Cheryl. They are all fine and fixing to become grandparents for the first time. I always enjoy hearing from them. Wish they would come back and visit sometime.
We had 62 in Sunday school last week. Ronnie Rosser came and took me to church. We had a different speaker, but I’ve forgotten his name.
Elaine sent me up my dinner and it was good. Anytime you don’t have to cook it is very good. I appreciate it.
Seems that those that have gardens are especially busy now. I made more cucumber pickles this week. I appreciate all the goodies I’ve been given.
It will soon be time for school to begin. I believe it is the 27th. Is that right? Seems as if they are hardly out until it’s time to start again.
Our own Garrison Rosser will be entering Transylvania on August 12th. We will miss that kid, cause he’s always at church. But this shows his interest in furthering his education. Good boy, I’m proud of you Garrison.
Until next time. See ya!
