Hello. How was your week? Hope you were able to be about your usual activities.
I had not been able to go to church for 5 weeks and I finally got to go last Sunday and surprise, surprise the class had me a sunshine basket. I have enjoyed opening a gift each day. I saw them bring them in and I kept thinking why they hadn’t called me so I could bring a gift. I was thinking they were for someone else. I was really surprised. So many thanks.
Visiting awhile one night with me were Marvine Borders and her caretaker Julie. I enjoy their visits.
On Tuesday, WKU professor Dr. Lynwood Montell came down and we took off. Uh oh… here is a different road we’ve not been on. We met the mail carrier so we asked where does this road go? She told us it would take us to Muhlenberg County. We hit a small gravel road, the a big gravel road and next a sign that said private road. There was a big old gate across the road that says “private road,” and it was locked. We had to back out ever so long before we could turn around.
Later we went to Webb’s and ate a delicious lunch, then we went on home. We enjoy these trips. Try it sometime.
As we celebrated a special day “Independence Day,” we should say a special thanks to our special guys and gals who have served in many wars. Many lost their lives on our behalf. Thank God they are willing to help protect our country and our people. Usually our guys and gals are asked to stand in church on Sunday. This year they were not. I may be going out on a limb, but here goes. A special thank you to Danny Coursey, Bill Cornelious, Richard Steward, Rufus Coursey, Mitch Cundiff and C.W. Harris. We love and appreciate you. So many thanks. We hope you got to celebrate this special day.
We have so many special people in our community like the police departments, the fire fighters, and many others who help us in this busy world. It is hard to praise all that we should because there are so many people we are thankful for. The ones who make our lives more safe. So a great big thanks.
Until next time, have a good week and keep the faith. See ya!
