We’ve had some summer days this week, when the temps got up in the 80’s, sun shining days. I hear some gardens got planted the last few days. Sounds great. I wish I were able to have a garden. I’ve been used to a garden all my life and I sure miss them. Luckily I have a few neighbors that share their extras with me and I sure do appreciate it.
A word of special thanks to 3 guys in our church. They see that I get to church and back each Sunday. They are David Jernigan, Ronnie Rosser and Richard Stewart. So many special thanks.
Tuesday afternoon stopping in awhile were Marvine Borders and her caretaker Brenda. I enjoyed their visit. Then on Thursday, Martha Williams came and gave me a perm and also cut Judy Jernigan’s hair. Now if I were as gifted as Martha, my hair would look great. I’m not talented that way, so when I comb that’s what I do, I comb. I can’t fix it pretty like she does. Oh well, I used to be good at cleaning my house, but I’m not good at that anymore.
I heard on local WRUS where Rosemary Cundiff Brown has been making news, so congrats girl. She is a sweetie.
Ah, May is around the corner. So many known birthdays. The 10th is Sabrina Fuller, the 15th Ronnie Rosser, the 18th grandson John Sweeney, the 22nd Betty Grayson, the 25th Joyce Wilson, the 26th Janessa Sweeney, the 27th Bayleigh Connally, and the 29th Evelyleen Wallace. Hope all enjoy their special days.
Some know anniversaries are the 10th Warren and Betty Stuart, the 15th Mark and Fredia Pitchford and the 31st Chris and Alicia Johnson. Hope all enjoy these special days also.
Bob always on May 15, before daylight, got up and went to the garden and planted watermelon and cantaloupe seed. That was an old belief and it usually worked.
We had 60 in Sunday school. I never turned and looked so I don’t know if we had any visitors or not. If we did, welcome and come again.
In talking to Lois Earl Farmer Brown, I found out that Roger Belcher was, as of this morning, in the hospital in Nashville. Hope he is soon able to be back home and feeling better.
Until next time, keep smiling and know God loves you.
