Hello. How was your week? Farmers I’m sure are busy getting ready for winter, and as usual I dread it. I’m so cold natured. I just cannot get good and warm. Oh well, we take it like we get it.

Veteran’s Day is this week and I for one want to say thanks to a special group of people who fight that we might have the freedom we have. And even greater to those who gave their lives for us. What an awful thing that war is. So again a special thanks to all of you.

Another thanks go out to our great police force we have here in Logan County, as well as nation wide. Another group of special people are our firefighters. Their lives are always in danger also, so to all a special God bless.

Our sympathy to the family of Betty Willcutt. Her services were Sunday afternoon.

I enjoyed a visit Wednesday when Martine Brown of Russellville stopped in for awhile.

We had Bro. Steve Pendley as speaker of the day at Elk Lick this morning. There were 60 in Sunday school.

Nest Sunday the speaker of the day will be Bro. David Jicka. I understand after services we will vote on him serving as interim pastor until we can get a regular pastor. Somehow they seem hard to get anymore. I believe there are 8 churches in the association at this time that are hunting for pastors.

Don’t know anything going on, so have a good week and keep a happy smile on your face. See ya!
