Let me start my column by telling you the latest “Lake News”. I hate to say it but it’s just like it was the last time you read my column. People are still going crazy with their boats, coming too close to my dock and I am having a fit over that. Now that I have gotten that off my chest, I will tell you that I attended a wonderful gathering the other night and the food was out of this world. The Hostess had decorated her house just like I would have done. It had “wild” colors on the wall and she proceeded to tell me she was going to remodel. Of course I had to tell her what I thought….that it was great just like it was. The Hubby had to remind me that it was not my house. I just love him dearly!
One young lady had a birthday and cake was eaten by everyone and I nearly flipped when I realized my baby was older than she was. So you know what that tells you. You got it, I am not young.
The Kayak Float trek was mentioned again and I found out that they do more than paddle on this parade. It seems they take snacks and drinks along with them. I am sure it is all health food. So I surely am going to sign up for this event. Hope I see all you people on the bank cheering us on. I will be in the one with a flag on the side.
Now to the important stuff, I would like to know who that was that held a party without me the other night. It was long after I had gone to sleep and I woke up to music floating out over the water. There was a lot of laughing and singing going on. You see I ran from window to window trying to see where on earth the music was coming from and finally when I went to the other end of the house, there it was all lite up like a Christmas tree! For some reason they forgot to send me an invitation. I have been told they have a special cove on the lake and they party quite frequently but for some reason, nobody has told me where or when it is. I really hate that.
The ducks are doing fine. They eat six times a day. The owl has found another place to visit. I really hate that also. My neighbor seems to think he got scared when he shot a snake on the bank. If I could send him a signal to come back I surely would.
We do have a dog that has appeared. It has a collar and it looks just like a big wolf. If you have seen this dog or know who it belongs to, please send me a message via e-mail. I hate to see a pet get lost.
One last thing, to all my football buddies, it won’t be long until our season begins. Then you know what happens next…..the BIG BLUE hits the floor. You know what I am already thinking, where did the summer go! Till next time, Hug your hubby and if you don’t have one, hug your friend’s hubby and enjoy every moment, they are precious. Till next time…Bye now.
