Here it is Wednesday night again and I have the most exciting news for you.
Ms. Mallard Duck decided to get off her nest and come have Cheerios with me this past week. Her two male friends came along. One of the green heads really looks bad! It is the one that looks like he was in a fight this winter and has a broken wing. Also, He looked like he had put his head in a hole and forgot to brush is feathers down. Man, I certainly would hate to be a duck. Then the little brown squirrel has been in a lot of trouble with me. He’s back in the flower pots again. He has a trail around my yard through every drain pipe I have and man can he run.
I finally decided where to put Mr. Bear. You know he is the 4’ tall black bear that has moved with us everywhere and I was going to lay him over so we could move him and he simply split in half. That is the first time I had to purchase a glue gun to “squirt” a tube of glue on his incision. I tell you I had to do major surgery. I then purchased a roll of Gorilla tape and used the entire roll. Of course I picked up a can of spray black paint and one of a rubber coating solution to spray to guarantee he would not let water get to his body. My friends told me it couldn’t be done, but they found out that I am a “BELIEVER”, Miracles are still happening, even to bears.
Everyone is still wearing out the water in front of my house. I am so nice, I don’t even think of getting on the water on the weekends. One of my friends came by in his new pontoon and I was so jealous. I am forever running out the front door and talking to everybody. Also everyone in my neighborhood is having parties and of course I am trying to make all of them.
And of course “company” is a must during this time of the year. You got it….just cleaned the house one more time because the Hubby’s family is coming. Food shopping done, clean sheets on the beds and food has been ordered from “Pigs in Paradise”. Man, I am so glad they are on the lake. I just turn the stove off and let them do the rest.
My neighbor had company today and they brought their little children out for them to ride on a paddle board. You stand on this little board with a paddle in your hand and you just paddle right around the lake. Of course this child might must have been 5 years old. You see the Hubby purchased one for me to try but when he saw that child doing such a good job, he mentioned I certainly could do the same. You know my favorite reply, REALLY. My next door neighbor says she wants to try it and I will let you know the outcome of this trick.
You know it just occurred to me, if I get hurt on this stilly lake, who will send you all this exciting news each week.
Well, it’s way past my bed time, I can’t say, I certainly enjoyed every moment today because I certainly DID NOT! Cleaning house for company is not fun but enjoying the time they are at the lake is “out of this world”. Till next time… wave when you go by my house. .Bye now.
