The Russellville Panther baseball team had a big win last Friday over the Butler County Bears. The Panthers started the game strong and played great defense to end the game with a 7-0 win over the Bears.

Senior Corey Wright started the inning off strong after getting a big hit to bring in seniors Barrett Croslin and Zach Denney to score for the Panthers. They would start out with a 2-0 lead after the first inning.

Croslin hit an RBI single to bring in Colby Nichols in the second inning and Desmon Quarles would score for the Panthers in the fourth inning. The Panthers increased their lead to 4-0 at the end of the fourth inning.

The Panthers would close out the game in the fifth and sixth innings of the game. Jacob Procter hit a double to score Wright and Logan Hannah hit an RBI single to score Procter in the fifth inning. Wright would get another big hit in the sixth inning of the game and bring in Nichols.

The Panthers would add another win to the season with their 7-0 win over the Bears.

Senior Corey Wright pitched for the Panthers all seven innings. Wright allowed four hits, no runs, walked non and struck out four. Wright also led the Panthers with two RBI’s.

Senior Barrett Croslin, Jacob Procter and Logan Hannah finished the game with one RBI each.
