Hello, how was your week? I finished getting my last infusion Thursday at the hospital so hopefully my iron is back to where it should be. At least I feel lots better, just need more strength.
Our sympathy to the family of Nancy Woodson.
Also our sympathy to Tommy Vaughn and the family of Sara Vaughn. Tommy was a cousin of Bob’s.
Also sympathy to the family of Mr. Alfred Davis. I had met he and Jo earlier and they also got married in May like Bob and I did the same year.
I have been eating the best green beans. I had a small amount of seeds left from a yellow green bean that has been in our family, I expect close to 100 years. I always remember the family called it uncle Edward and uncle Clarence beans. Their parents before them had the beans and before them their parents had the beans. I don’t know the history any further back. This bean has always been in the family. I gave some of the seed to Ada Dorris Soshe and Joey raised some and she shared a mess with me. They sure were good and brought back a lot of memories.
C.W. and Martha Harris brought me a couple of cantaloupes and they were good. Hester Coursey brought me some good ole cake. Yum, yum good.
I hear Wanda Coursey has been moved from the hospital to Creekwood nursing facility in Russellville. Hope she can soon feel a lot better and can be back home real soon. There is just no place like home is there?
Remember the Johnson reunion which is September the 20th and will be at the activities building at Elk Lick. The lunch will be potluck. We usually eat near 5 p.m. A reminder the plates, cups and utensils will all be furnished, so don’t worry about that.
Today was the last service at Elk Lick with former pastor Bro. Art Hatfield, as he has resigned. Where ever he and Mrs. Jane go, we wish the best for them.
Enjoying supper with Martine Brown on Saturday night were daughter Rozena and Pat Stanley, granddaughter Lynn, her hubby Jeff and their little daughter Kayla and her friend Hunter. All had a good meal and time together.
As September is here some known birthdays are: the 8th Garry Seras, the 11th Marian Carter and Addie Hendley, the 13th Baahnah Hendley, the 15th Meredith Johnson, the 18th ole Jim Turner and Rohan Singh, the 17th my cousin in Florida Omanel Robertson, the 19th Barbara Borders and my granddaughter Krista Lynn in Georgia, the 23rd Dean Harrell, the 25th Barbara Belilies, the 27th Gabby Ezel and the 30th Weston Wright and Frieda Pitchford. Hope all have special days.
Happy anniversary to George and Bev Witson on the 1st ans the 30th to Jason and Baahnah Hendley. Enjoy these special days too.
Sorry our good friend Dick Dickerson is having so much sickness. He says he is just not feeling very good at all. Maybe a wee bit better. He had several doctors appointments this past week and is already scheduled for more this week. We sure do hope his problems can be found and corrected. Hope you feel better okay?
Until next time, have a good week and smile, makes someone’s day.
