Remember very soon the big ole yellow school buses will be out and they will be carrying precious cargo- our children- back and forth to school. So be very watchful, a kid might just dart across the road right in front of you.

Wanda Coursey, as far as I know, is at hoe from a recent hospital stay in the Medical Center. Wish she could get to feeling much better.

I had the best time one day in the past week when Delores Renfro from Russellville came down and we had lunch. We had a most enjoyable time. She- like me- likes to talk, so we had a great time.

David and Stacey Jernigan brought my supper Tuesday night.

Sorry Jewell Wayne Johnson has been in the Medical Center in Bowling Green and has had to be transferred to Creekwood in Russellville for therapy.

Visiting recently on the 17th with Helen and Glenn Porter and Rex, was her cousin Donna Rithie and her daughter Julie of Waterford, Michigan. They enjoyed seeing them.

And then on July 4th were Marty and Shelly Scarbrough and Blane of Wisconsin. Isn’t it nice to have surprise company? Usually when that happens here… wow! Sh9ould have swept the floors, dusted and at least had a halfway house you can get into, right? Yeah.

They also visited his parents Wilford and Jeri Scarbrough of Auburn and to her family members.

Get ready! According to the old folks story, when you hear the first katy-dids it should frost in 3 months. They were first heard by Glenn Porter on July the 4th.

James Fuller had to have some blood work done this past week.

I also had to get blood work done, will see Dr. Kamal Singh the 28th to get the report. Hope as usual it goes good.

Sunday afternoon at Crossroads church a “going away party” was held for granddaughter Tara and a friend of hers Kayla. They both will be moving next Friday and Saturday to college in Kansas City, Missouri to begin studies. A good sized crowd attended. We had all kinds of eats, even homemade ice cream, among other goodies and a few gifts. I’m sure the girls enjoyed it and appreciated all the love and support they were shown. Bye girls! We will miss you!

See ya next time and have a good week!
