Greetings from the Antioch Community.
Hope you had a safe and Happy Memorial Day.
Jordan Chick and Faith Mills were married at Mt. Pleasant Church on Saturday afternoon. A large crowd attended. We wish for the young couple much happiness.
My cousin Oma Nell Robertson, who lives in Florida, called me last week. It’s always good to hear from her.
My Brother-in-Law, Louie Schmidt, in Branson, Mo., called me Monday to wish me a Happy Memorial Day. He is a veteran too.
Our Homecoming was held Sunday at Antioch. The Sneed Damily did the singing, which we enjoyed. We had several visitors. Bro. Albert Clardy brought the message. We had one to join the church. We had lots of food, which everyone enjoyed. We were glad to have Bro. Rob Johnson to visit with us.
My son, Terry, wife Tamika, and daughter Terrika from Nashville came to the Homecoming and the come home with me and stayed a while. Sure was glad to see them.
Sue and James Fuller are doing about the same. James had to keep an appointment with two of his Doctors on Wednesday. Hope he can get a good report.
Oscar Lewis and Joyce White from Ohio came to see Myrtle Pogue on Friday and stayed till Sunday. They also attended the school reunion at Lewisburg.
Visiting with Christine White was Lacy Hall, Juley Wilson, Shelby and Ethan Belcher, Dorothy Henderson, Jeffery White came Satuday and brought her Breakfast, Jimmy and Judy White came Sunday and brought her food to eat from the Homecoming Dinner.
One act of kindness may teach more about the love of God than many sermons.
Have a Good Week.
