Christa Yates of the Morgantown Road visited awhile with her parents Rex and Dianne Porter.

I really had a good Mother’s Day, Stanley brought our lunch, so we ate, I read, and he watched t.v. between talking. Later, Krista (granddaughter in Georgia) called awhile, then later in the afternoon good friend Myron Gower of Florida called, so I really enjoyed the day. All was well with he and his family. Elaine and Tara visited with her mom Louise Carver of Rosewood.

I hear we have Wanda Coursey in the hospital and Dennis Mohon. He had a fall. Hope nothing is broken and by now they are both home.

Got a call Friday from former Spa guy and that was Virgil Lee Sears. he is in Elkton in the nursing facility. He seemed in good spirits. It’s always good to hear from him.

Tuesday some of our Sunday school class- the TruthSeekers of Elk Lick- went to KFC for our lunch. We being, Ada Dorris, Virginia Hart as our visitors and Lois Ann Cornelius and myself Hazel. We really enjoyed our time together as well as the eats.

While there we saw Sue and James Fuller. They were celebrating their 53rd wedding anniversary. Good to see them. More wishes for more anniversaries.

Lannie and Judy Jernigan and Kim and David celebrated Mother’s Day eating at Colonial Inn.

Lannie and Kim brought my supper Tuesday night, and as usual, it was good.

James and Sue Fuller attended their church Sunday on Mother’s Day and after went home with Jeff and Corrie Fuller and kids Olivia, Brett, Sean and Luke. I hear that Olivia is making a good cook. Keep it up girl. Other son Kevin was there, he is in Tennessee and Tony, granddaughter Maranda and Dustin Connelly and Addison, Bayleigh and baby Abel. He is really growin. They all had a good day.

Bro. Carmal Hoskins filled the pulpit at Elk Lick this morning in the absence of Bro. Art and Jane. Mrs. Hoskins was with him and filled in with playing the organ.

We ended with a good sized class this morning. When Martha Wright and her class of Virginia Hart and Evelyn Skipworth joined ours. We had Joyce Chapman, Beverly Harris, Lois Ann Cornelius, Hester Coursey and me. Martha does a very good job.

We have had cooler weather the last several days. In fact, I turned the heater on again. These 45s are pretty doggone chilly. It’s supposed to warm up a bit this week I hear.

Hope you went to church this morning. If not, be ready to go next Sunday. Have a great week. See ya!
