A beautiful day in Spa, chilly, but the sun is shining very pretty.
Good news, Patricia Penrod is home from Greenview Hospital, where she had double hip replacement. She is taking therapy and is her usual cheerful self, so watch out, she will soon be back into her regular activities.
Good to hear Ol’ Mack back on WRUS this week. Last week he was out “doin’ good.” He was with his brother Ed in Nashville. Ed is recuperating from surgery and seems to be doing great.

I was a share croppers daughter and I remember we moved about every couple or so years, so probably, I’ve been to more schools than most people. I remember Barton or Spa, Brown’s, Lewisburg, Tonstills, Hickory Ridge, and at different times to Stuarts. That is all I remember. Don’t know if there were more or not. One year after we moved to Mr. Luther Page’s place, I walked through the woods somewhere by the now Marion Wells’ place back to Stuarts and stayed Monday night through Thursday night and walked that same way back home for the weekend. I stayed with Mr. and Mrs. Carley Costellow.
Got a call Saturday from Kerri and Chris ans the girls, Maddie and Elle from Georgia, all were well. However, they had, like we had, bad weather. In fact, Chris left work at 12:45 and didn’t get home till 6 the next morning. He in fact ended up walking for 2 and a half hours, as he could not drive anymore. Wow, at least he didn’t fall and break anything.
Our sympathy to the family of Bro. Duncan Smith. His services were this past week.
