Man, it’s so good to be home. Do you ever go away for a while and it’s so good to see that house that you call home. What is the difference between a house and a home? Of course it is the people in it. It was so good to see the Daughter who had been taking care of everything. In the past, I simply locked the door and ran away.
One time I was talking to the man who cuts my grass. As I was about to leave he asked, “Who is going to take care of things while you are gone?” I simply told him he was! Well, I finally found a person who helps out with this job. The Daughter told me she would be happy to do whatever she could so I could enjoy the moment! So she picks up my mail and makes sure everything is ship shape every day. I have had some difficulties in years past. Three times I have had a “break in”. Man, were they really surprised…..I didn’t have anything they wanted! I guess I tricked them.
Anyway, I had a “TON” of mail. Where does all this come from? I can’t understand why we don’t have a paper shortage; especially with all the advertisements I got. I really wonder who on earth reads all that stuff. These days most of us who travel around have all our utility statements come to them on line. And most of them have to pay them on line. So I did not really have any of that kind of communication but I really have a “boat load” of JUNK MAIL. I bet you can guess where most of it went. Of course, she had the Russellville newspapers all stacked up. It was wonderful to sit and read what has been going on in our area when I was gone. Of course, the Hubby had to get in on the act; he said “I can’t imagine everything going on without you!” That once again is when the fight begun.
I must tell you that as I write this the Hubby came in to announce that he thought we needed to take another short trip to BASSPRO! You know where that is and what they have to offer.
Could it be that he is anxious to get back to fishing. Of course I had to remind him that it was still March and it was still cold. Also the weather man says we might have bad weather this weekend. He said he was just going to LOOK! YEA RIGHT. Want to bet we come home with more little “FISHING THNGS” But as he said, what else can we do, it’s too cold to work outside! Did you catch that…..too cold to work outside but alright to FISH! Do you think he is getting spring fever? I am sure you ladies are doing the same.
So ladies while it is cold, get all those windows washed inside. Clean out all those closets and get rid of all that clutter. Then you will have everything done so you will be ready to work in the yard and plant all those spring flowers. This winter has been too long and TOO BAD!
Once again, THINK SPRING! So glad to be back home. As they say, “there’s no place like home”. There are good people everywhere but FAMILY is absolutely wonderful. Remember to hug your children and tell them you love them. And as always, “enjoy the moment”. Bye now.
