Sorry to have missed last week folks, but physically I’m lake a 15-year-old car with 185,000 miles, only running on one of four cylinders. It’s hard to keep up a daily schedule when you can’t depend on a clean running engine. I find myself in that shape. One day I’m running smooth, the next my engine is “missing” and I’m chugging along.
Thanks for the call Hazel and to my neighbors for seeing that I was fed and dragging out my garbage.
Hope this finds all of you well. There’s so many winter maladies going around, some highly contagious, some not. If you are ill or have a compromised immune system, it’s wise to stay home. Seek medical help and chicken soup.
Went by the Senior Center to return some books and check on everyone. Hear the ladies had a great time on Tuesday with the make-up party. The men enjoyed coffee in front of the fire and told tall tales or gossiped.
Thursday following the Tai Chi for Arthritis there was an introduction to crocheting class. A Rook tournament with prizes was held today followed by a movie and popcorn.
Next week on Tuesday, the ladies and/or men will be offered manicures by Main Street Salon. There will be a charge, but there is no better treat for yourself. Line dancing continues on Tuesday evenings at 5:30 pm.
Next Friday is Valentine’s Day and the Senior Center is having a dance. Come on folks, bring your sweetheart out for the evening.. If you don’t have one, come on out, you might find a new friend or fellowship with known friends.
Old Habits Country Band will be performing and the doors open at 5:30 pm. There will be a potluck dinner during the break and door prizes will be given.
Please bring either sandwiches, snack food, or a dessert. There will be the usual $3.00 charge at the door.
Don’t forget to support you local merchants for Valentine treats.
Sorry, my “oil pressure” light is on and I have to rest. Take care and have a blessed day.
