Editor’s Note: Last week’s Antioch News did not arrive at the News-Democrat & Leader until Friday and did not make the regular Friday edition. Here is last week’s Antioch News.
Greetings from the Antioch Community.
I had to keep an appointment with my doctor Monday in Bowling Green. I mean it rained all day. Betty went and got Erika and she spent the day with us. I got to see where she lived and they have a beautiful home. We ate lunch at Rafferty’s.
Don, Rosie Yarnell, Myrtle Pogue and myself went after church Sunday to the Country Charm Restaurant and ate lunch. The food was really good. I got to see a lot of people that I knew. I got to meet Sarah Noe. I told her I wrote about her all the time, but hadn’t ever met her. She said she reads my news all the time. Said I did a good job. “Thanks Sarah.” That made my day.
I enjoyed a call from cousin Omanell Robertson in Florida one day. She was coughing quite a bit.
Visiting with Christine White was Juley Nelson, Shelby and Ethan Belcher, Dorothy Henderson, Jeffery White came Saturday morning and brought breakfast, Jimmy White came Monday night and brought her supper.
Kind words smooth, and quiet, and comfort the hearer.
Have a Good Week.
