Happy New Years, 2014.
Among all the excitement of Christmas, there is always those who lost loved ones, and our sympathy goes to the family of Mrs. Elaine Gower.
Also to Lannie Jernigan and family in the death of a sister. Her services were Monday in Greenville.
Saturday night at the beautiful decorated home of Wilford and Jeri Scarbrough in Auburn, were Glenn and Helen Porter, Cade Porter, Edwin and Dorris Scarbrough of BonAqua, Tenn., Rhonda Armistead and Morgan and Cucker of Olmstead, and Hunter, Steve and Cheryl Roberts and Daylon, Darren and Christy Scarbrough and Nicholas, Tracey Woods and Casey of Tennessee. All had a good time, lots of eats, yum-yum, gifts and a good time together. And Tiffany Oliver.
I had a most enjoyable time Tuesday, Christmas Eve. Corey Sharp and C.J. of Russellville came and got me and off to his mom and dad’s went Ray and Sandra Sharp. Others there were of course Corey, C.J., Racheal, Erica, Autumn, Tristen and Kim and Fred Carter and Marin, Rhonda and Gary. Oh my, the eats they had and sent enough with me for a couple of days. I really enjoyed the visit. Did I mention the gifts?
Christmas day with Martine Brown for lunch were Rozena and Pat Stanley, Jay, Chris, Kim and girls, then for the night she had Lynn and Kayla and Matt and Shelley. Again, much food.
At Sue and James Fuller for breakfast on Christmas eve were Sabrtina Fuller, Jeff and Corie Fuller, Olivia, Brett, Sean and Luke, Kevin and Heather Fuller, Tony and Marsha Fuller, Bryan and Jessica Fuller of Russellville, Dustin and Maranda Connally, Addison Baileigh and Abel of Auburn. Isn’t it nice when all families can get together and have a good ole time?
Christmas eve, we had our Christmas time together here. Stanley, Elaine and Tara and I really enjoyed the time.
I appreciate all the Christmas cards and notes. I did not send out as many as usual because of the cost of stamps. And I hear they are again going up at the first of the year. My, my, yes I remember when letters only cost three cents per stamp. In hearing from Laura and Robert Jessup from Ohio, he is not doing well at all. Wish he could feel better.
Here this week have been Judy Jernigan, David Jernigan, Cassidy Jernigan, Johnny Richardson and Grace and Kathy Woodward of Epley and Ray and Sandra Sharp of Russellville.
I wish to all a Happy New Year and health and able to be about doing things that need to be done. See ya!
