Well it did it! The beautiful ice cover. It scares me. I’m so afraid the power might go out, but this we cannot control. Trust the Lord to keep it on. The weathermen are still predicting several more days of this. Again it shines so pretty on the leafless trees. Remember we live in Kentucky and its known for unpredictable weather. Hope the worst is over.
This past week has been a very busy one here. Kerri and her family here from Rosewell, Georgia church Sunday. Martha Williams was here Monday and gave me a much needed perm. Monday night was visitation for my cousin Lasley Johnson, then Tuesday was the funeral. Other than seein whats as going on, I might as well been home because I could not hear. A good sized crowd did attend.
I love getting Christmas cards and enjoy sending them. The stamps are so high though. I’m only sending out those out of the state, locally I can call. So don’t get provoked at me when you do not get one, okay?
Roger and Carolyn Gibson of Warren County visited awhile one morning this week with her mom Mrs. Virginia Hart. She is like the energizer bunny she just keep going and going, which I am glad she is able to do.

Known anniversaries the 10th Ronnie and Cher Rosser, the 22nd Shirley and Shirley Price and the 26th Barbara and Freddie Borders. Enjoy these days too.
Wednesday, December the 4th was the day chosen for our N-D&L Correspondents Christmas dinner and party. This time it was held at Dick Dickerson’s new home on Cornelius Avenue. I understand the home was built in the early 1800s. It was quite interesting. I did not try the stairs, but went through all the rest of the house. We had a pot luck lunch, which I might add was very good. We also played our “dirty Santa” game, and yeah I took one away, so did some others. We got to meet the new lady on the block Peggy Moody of Auburn. Others there were of course Dick, former Bucksville writer Margaret Walton of Owensboro, your Antioch writer Louise Henderson, Chris Cooper of the N-D&L and me Hazel. A many thanks to Judy Jernigan for taking me, we enjoyed her too. I wish I had thought o county Dick’s decorated Christmas trees, I’m gonna guess at least 6. Did I miss anyone? Needless to say we had a good time. Sorry OJ Stapleton didn’t get to make it.
Sorry Marsha Fuller had surgery this past week. Hope she is feeling better. Wish her problems would just go away.
Have a good week. Be especially careful out. Maybe this mess will go away in a few days.
Merry Christmas, ho, ho, enjoy this special time of year. This is the time we celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. We know he was born, was crucified and rose again, Hallelujah, what a blessing.
