Hello, a lovely Saturday morning in Spa, however, quite chilly as the low temp was 34. And how was your week? One day I had a check up with my cardiologist, so, so report.
James and Sue Fuller are still having to make trips to his dr. in Bowling Green. The last report was not as we would have liked, so he goes back this week, for we hope a better report.
Chad Gibson, son of Carolyn Hart and Rober Gibson, had surgery this week and has been pretty sick. His granny is Virginia Hart. I’m sure they would cobet your prayers.
Best wishes to Kelly Costello as she begins a writing career. She has began writing columns for Adairville and she is doing a great job. Our annual N-D&L Christmas party will be Wednesday, Dec. the 4th with a potluck lunch around 11:30 a.m. at the new home of Dick Dickerson. Bring your gifts and food for a fun time together. Don’t forget okay?
Best wishes to Morris and Nancy Kissellbaugh on their 60th wedding anniversary. How did you put up with him this long Nancy?
I noticed in Friday’s edition, the item about SALT where they need volunteers, or any help they can get to help this program. The program is where they do work for older people or people who can’t afford repairs. They need money too. If you can help, the contact person is Bro. Gene Bracken at 270-893-1585.
I could uise a crew here for several days doing some clean up jobs. Kinda like the Boble says, the laborers are few.
I’d like to say a special thank you to all service people wherever they are. Some of them gave their lives tom protect our great country and sometimes I think they have not been appreciated as they should be. So from me to you, thank you, thank you!
And I was sick yesterday and didn’t make it through church. Don’t know if our vets were asked to stand. I can think of C.W. Harris, Rufus Coursey, Danny Coursey, Bill Cornelius and Mitch Cundiff are all in our church family that have served. With my luck, I’m sure I forgot someone. Not intentionally I assure you, cause you are all special people and God bless.
Oh yeah, a little bird told me one of our church family, Seth Dorris, whom at the moment is at Ft. Knox, has become a Captain. He is quite the young man in the Army. Way to go kiddo. We are proud of you.
Heard from church yesterday that Wanda Coursey had been taken to St. Thomas in Nashville. Hope she is soon able to be back home.
Marvine Borders stopped in awhile Sunday night before church services. I appreciated her stopping in.
WRUS is giving some winter weather reports I don’t like. The snow mix and colder temps. Uh oh, I dread it. I’m just not a cold weather person. I told Stanley the other day, I’m freezing. Now what will I do when it actually gets cold?
Have a good week. Make someone smile. You will feel better and so will they.
