The Logan County Chamber of Commerce is gearing up to present its Annual Dinner on Thursday, Feb. 27 at the Logan County Extension Office.
This year’s theme supports our country’s proud and patriotic heritage “Made in America.”
The doors will open at 5:30 p.m., with a buffet dinner, catered by Roy’s Bar-B-Que. A menu of traditional southern food will be served including everything from fried chicken and bbq ribs to apple pie.
The Awards Program will begin at 7 p.m. and will recognize Logan United, Small Business of the Year, Teacher of the Year, Farm Family of the Year, retiring Chamber Board members, Tobacco & Heritage Festival chairs, Chamber Volunteer of the Year, and Corporate Recognitions.
Chamber members sponsor the tables, and will be decorated with the “Made in America” theme. Gifts will be provided to everyone seated at their table. There will also be a silent auction this year consisting of the table centerpieces. Entertainment for the evening is comedian Marty Pollio. See his website at http://www.1comedian.com/ to see his bio.
Tickets are $35 each and are available at the Chamber. RSVP is Feb. 17. People who aren’t Chamber members are welcome to call the Chamber at 270-726-2206, to get on a waiting list in case there are any extra tickets available.
“The Annual Dinner is foremost a time to recognize volunteers and those special folks who work so hard for the community. It is also a time of fun and networking,” said Lisa Browning, chamber executive director. “Several years ago, the Chamber Board did away with long speeches, suits and high heels for the annual dinner and just made it more of a casual, family and friends atmosphere. After all, that’s what we are – family and friends!”
