The Russellville Police Department needed just a few hours to successfully find a missing girl on Saturday night.
Around 9:54 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 14, the RPD responded to a missing juvenile complaint on North Morgan Street.
During the course of the investigation, it was discovered that the juvenile disappeared from her residence at approxmately 6 p.m. and was believed to have left the residence with an older male in a black Ford truck.
With the help of the Logan County Central Dispatch, the Russellville Police Department was able to obtain cell phone pings from the missing girl’s cell phone that led to a Comfort Inn in Gallatin, Tenn.
At approximately 1:09 a.m., the adult male and the juvenile were both located at the motel.
No arrests have yet been made in the case, according to RPD chief Victor Shifflett, but the investigation is ongoing.
