Be strong and of good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them. For the Lord thy God, he it is that does go with thee. He will not fail thee, not forsake thee. (Deut. 31:6)
Sometimes it seems as if God has deserted me, left without even a trace, leaving me all alone to face the hardships of this bleak, earthly space.
And I wander aimlessly upon this dark way of body and soul, with no intended purpose or direction, as to this short life’s intended role.
Then I read in his holy word that He is the same and always will be, so I search through my own mind and find, the one who left is me.
At times it is hard to see how He can forgive the worst sins that we do, but if we ask his forgiveness, to his wonderful promise, He will be true.
Now I think back on all the bad decisions I made in my youth, how much easier it would have been, had I followed his simple truth.
We can not change one day of the past, nor lessen the pain or the strife, just go forward from today, since it is the first day, of the rest of our life.
I find the most difficult times in this life are much easier to get through, if we ask for his help, and to his commandments always strive to be true.
We must let his timeless love bind us together as if it were a strong glue, and always remember that all things work for the good of the faithful few.
So I change my direction, and take up the path my Savior once trod, for I know He is the true light, the one and only begotten, Son of God.
Now let us all strive for perfection and may our thoughts be of one accord, as we prepare for that notable day when we shall hear, the trump of our Lord.
When we stand on that great day of judgment, Jesus will speak on our behalf, for his blood has cleansed us from all sin and we have been forgiven our past.
God will never desert us on this earth, nor at death when our spirit must fly, and guide us safely to our heavenly home in his eternal mansions on high. Larry Sitz
“Let not your heart be troubled, ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many mansions. If it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you unto myself, that where I am, there ye may be also” (John 14:1-3)
