The 13 year old Logan County Babe Ruth competed in the semifinal game against Warren County on Thursday. Logan County battled hard and took the game into extra innings, but would fall 4-3 in the eighth inning.
Warren County took the lead in the game after scoring one run in the first inning and another in the second inning. Logan County would get some hits, but the Warren County defense would shut them down.
In the top of the sixth inning, Dillon Porter would get an RBI as Tommy Krohn scored for Logan County. But Warren County came back in the bottom of the inning to score another run. Warren County would now lead 3-1.
In the top of the seventh, Logan County played smart to get two base runners. Porter would pull through for the team again and hit a double, getting two RBI’s. These two runs would tie the game 3-3. Logan County defense would shut Warren County down and the two teams would head into extra innings.
Warren County defense would step up and get three quick outs. Their offense would get going and score to end the game.
