The 14 year old Logan County Babe Ruth team are headed to state after defeating Warren County on Wednesday. Logan County fell behind early in the game, but Logan County would come back to end the game early with a 13-3 win.


Warren County came out strong on Wednesday and scored three runs in the first inning. Logan County fell behind but would step it up in the third inning to make a comeback.


The Warren County pitcher would start to struggle and Logan County would take advantage. Several players would walk and Logan County quickly gained the lead of 5-3 by the end of the inning. Jackson Steward would score one run in the fifth inning to put Logan County up 6-3.


In the bottom of the sixth inning, Logan County would come out strong and get several hits to load the bases. They would keep getting strong hits and would continue to score more runs. Jordan Blick got the last hit for Logan County to get an RBI. Logan County ended the game early after a 10 point lead of 13-3.


Team members include D.J. Beard, Jordan Blick, Jackson Campbell, T.K. Hampton, Evan Humphrey, Kaleb Justice, Austin Rayno, Devon Roche, Ashton Ross, Jackson Steward, Ethan Smock and Jack Wright. Coaches include Travis Steward, Matt Roche and Shea Ross.
