The Russellville Panthers ended their season this Monday in the 13th district tournament. The Panthers faced the Franklin-Simpson Wildcats and would fall 8-6 to end their season.
In the first inning of the game, the Panthers would start out with a 1-0 lead. T.K. Hampton made it home to score for the Panthers. The Wildcats would come back and score two runs in the bottom of the first so the Panthers would not trail 1-2.
By the bottom of the fifth inning, the Wildcats had increased their lead to 7-3 over the Panthers. But in the top of the sixth, the Panthers would go on a rally and score three runs. The Panthers would only be down one run.
The Wildcats would score one run in the bottom of the sixth, but the Panthers would only trail 8-6. The Wildcat defense would fight hard to get three straight outs, and the Panthers would fall 8-6.
