The Stevenson Elementary School jumprope team, the Panther Power Jumpers, had their first performances of the year over the weekend.

The 22 boys and girls that make up the team are in grades 3-5 at SES and have been practicing every week for the past several months perfecting their routine.

They gave their first performance on Friday morning at the school during the morning assembly. The Power Jumpers then performed on Friday night at Jim Young Gymnasium between games of the Russellville-Todd Central basketball doubleheader.

The Power Jumpers will also be performing for several of the other elementary schools in Logan County later this month.

The team is coached and directed by Stevenson Elementary teachers Keela Osborne and Sarah Corum.
