LC Soccer teams winning big

The Logan County Soccer teams had a very successful week last week. The Lady Cougars traveled to Todd County and brought home a 7-0 win against the Lady Rebels. The Cougars played the Butler County Bears on Tuesday and won 8-1 and then went on to face the Warren East Raiders and won 8-3.
The Lady Cougars have won the last seven games, which puts their season record at 7-3. With their win on Tuesday, that puts the Lady Cougars undefeated in their district. The Lady Cougars have won two games against the Franklin-Simpson Lady Wildcats with big wins of 11-1 and 8-1. They have defeated the Lady Rebels twice with wins of 5-0 and 7-0.
On Tuesday Emma Cartas led the Lady Cougars with three goals. Cartas was followed by Maegan Ferguson who had two goals. Lauren Allen and Breanna Baptiste had one goal each.
Baptiste and Brittany Barton finished the night with two assists each. Cartas and Anna Holman had one each.
Before this week, the Cougars had been experiencing some bad luck with three losses and a tie game. The Cougars finally broke through and had two big wins over the Bears and Raiders. These wins bumped their season record to 6-5-1.
Landon Stratton lead the Cougars during their game on Tuesday with six goals. Jackson Allen scored the next two goals for the Cougars.
The Cougars traveled to Warren East to face the Raiders on Thursday night. The Cougars had a solid lead of 4-0 at the half, but the Raiders scored three straight goals to bring them right behind the Cougars.
The Cougars offense stepped up to score four more goals to secure their win of 8-3 over the Raiders.
Landon Stratton had six more goals during the game against the Raiders. Jacob Moberly and Tanner Chapman scored the other two goals.
The Cougars will travel to Hopkins County Central next Tuesday to face the Storm. The Lady Cougars will play tonight and face the Warren Central Lady Dragons.
