A new digital sign is being installed at the entrance of Logan County High School. The sign is a state-of-the-art platform to provide educational information, school events and promote student accomplishments. The new digital sign replaces the old smaller one that only had the capability to have letters applied.
Logan County School Board member Tim Hall began talking about purchasing a new sign for the school back in November of 2013. Hall approached the Logan County Fiscal Court asking for support on the purchase of a new sign to be placed at the entrance of Logan County High School. Hall, along with several parents and teachers were raising funds for the sign that is beneficial for the county as a whole.
Those crusading for a new sign wanted to see a larger one that could highlight not only student’s photos and their accomplishments, but also community events. Since the entrance to Logan County High School is located on 68-80, this is an opportunity for the county to promote itself to those coming into the community from that very popular direction.
“A sign like this,” said Hall, “brings about pride to the community as a whole.”
